Lugano International Summer Music Festival
The University School of Music (SUM) offers training programmes to future musicians. It is the professional section of the CSI, recognised since 1988.Since 2006, it has been affiliated to the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), with integration at the university level, but with full autonomy at the administrative and management level.It is a highly dynamic department immersed in a familiar environment but with a decidedly cosmopolitan character, attracting high-level professors and students from over 40 countries.Focused on quality and excellence, it boasts a highly competent and internationally renowned faculty.According to its legal requirements, the University School of Music pursues four mandates: education, research, continuing education/post-educa

Master Classes
The LISMC Master Class in 2026 is based on the international mentor resources of the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana (CSI) in Lugano, inviting professors and performers from top music schools, symphony orchestras, and international art institutions around the world as guests.
International Music Camp
The Lugano International Music Summer Camp is built on the professional teaching resources of the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana and is designed for young music learners. The program combines individual lessons, chamber music, ensemble rehearsal, and concert performance, aiming to strengthen students’ instrumental skills, musical understanding, and stage confidence
Concerts and public performances
The concerts provides professional stage practice opportunities for young artists. Through formal concert hall performances and public art activities, it enhances stage experience and artistic expression ability, strengthens audience communication awareness and professional ethics, promotes music and art to enter society, and promotes high-quality cultural dissemination.
